  24.         STEREO AUDIO DIGITISER

  26.          Dual 8 bit converters, inputs via RCA sockets; emulates
  27.     PerfectSound and compatible digitisers. Works with Aegis Audiomaster,
  28.     PerfectSound, Studio Magic (Demo versions available from George or
  29.     Megadisc).

  43.         MULTI-FUNCTION BOARD FOR THE AMIGA
  44.  George is currently designing this board, which will be a quantum leap in
  45.  power and flexibility for the Amiga, and he is looking for people who are
  46.  capable of writing software and/or designing further hardware for the
  47.  board. Inside the Motherboard box will be: 68000 processor running at
  48.  12MHz; 512K static RAM or EPROM; 4 INMOS link adaptors; 68881 Floating
  49.  point coprocessor running at 16 MHz; 68450 4-channel DMA controller; POD
  50.  (application board) interface; IBM buss interface. The design will be such
  51.  that it will be able to function without being plugged into the Amiga, if
  52.  required, and will be expandable in many ways, including extra PODS
  53.  designed by George and other interested people according to specifications
  54.  obtainable from George, who will himself be designing: a serial pod with 8
  55.  RS232 lines; Parallel pod with 4 Centronics ports; A/D card; Parallel I/O
  56.  card; SCSI controller. This sounds like a great project, and interested
  57.  people should send a SASE to George (see below) for general info; or send
  58.  $10 and a written recommendation from a current developer, to gain

  65.          INTERACTIVE DISASSEMBLER FOR THE AMIGA : "RESOURCE"
  66.  This is a very deep program and deserves support, so buy it! There is a
  67.  shareware version available from Megadisc's PD collection, so you can
  68.  assess the quality.

  94.          DUTILS UPDATE
  95.  Mike Hansell, who wrote the directory utility DUTILS2 (on MD7), tells me
  96.  that registered users can get the next update, which is a PAL version with
  97.  a number of improvements, by sending in a disk and SASE. Anyone who'd like
  98.  to register should send in a disk and SASE and $10. Mike has almost
  99.  finished the manual, which will be on disk and can be printed out from

  102.          M.A.S.T. DEVICES - MEMORY AND HARD DRIVES
  103.  This group seems to be making an effort to provide low-cost, locally
  104.  designed and manufactured hardware for the Amiga. Among their products
  105.  about to be released at the time of writing are:
  106.  # Minimegs 500 - up to 2 megs of autoconfigure Ram for the A500, price
  107.  starting from $299 for the setup without any Ram, moving up in 512K
  108.  increments according to current price of Ram chips.
  109.  # Tiny Tiger - A SCSI interface/drive for all Amigas, attaching to the
  110.  parallel port with printer pass-through, this unit can be obtained as an
  111.  interface/drive case/power supply without hard disk for $399, allowing you
  112.  to add your own hard drive. They will of course also supply hard drives.

  118.          ALMOST-OZ SERVICES - TeX FOR THE AMIGA
  119.  Don't write off to the US for this suite of programs (the ultimate in
  120.  type-setting for long and/or scientific text), you've got it here in
  121.  Australia, specifically for the Amiga (amongst other lowlier machines).
  122.  Anybody really serious about Desktop Publishing/type-setting should look
  123.  closely at TEX, and if you contact these people they'll send you a sheaf
  124.  of papers actually prepared with TEX, along with prices etc. In short, and
  125.  I quote, "..AmigaTeX, a good choice of print drivers and MetaFont are
  126.  immediately available for your Amiga." They will support the product and

  131.          PRINTER RIBBON INKING
  132.  Leon Jarvis, a dedicated Amiga user who has provided us with a theme disk
  133.  based on the UTILIMASTER Directory Utility, also re-inks ribbons of all
  134.  kinds for very low cost ($5 for Megadisc users, more for others). Contact

  138.          HARDWARE MODIFICATIONS

  140.  Nic Wilson in the Toowoomba area will soon be moving into the Amiga area
  141.  full-time, and is currently available for writing specific utilities in
  142.  Assembly language (such as those on this issue); he can provide hard disks
  143.  and all kinds of hardware modifications, such as putting Kickstart in
  144.  EPROMS, making switches so you can boot from external drives, etc; and he
  145.  and Andy Clay have already put together a lot of useful utilities for the
  146.  Amiga, such as "Kicktricks", which is a collection of all available
  147.  Kickstart hacks, with patches written for 1.2. Contact him on

  151.  Chris Ralph - A hardware hacker from way back (professionally), this
  152.  man will do all kinds of hardware modifications for you at a reasonable
  153.  price. He's fixed a lot of people's problems already (recommended by us)
  154.  including the enduring one of dud PAL chips for the A1000 (which require
  155.  replacement or at least some kind of grounding treatment), odd behaviour
